I find it fascinating to look at how supermarkets vary regionally. I think most people tend to think of supermarkets as fairly large, standardized stores, but they still vary a lot.
I've found the tea selection, as well as the selection of foods relating to British-style tea, in most supermarkets to be pretty limited. There are often so many boxes of tea to choose from, but I find that small, specialty stores, even if they have a smaller total selection, have more of the teas that I actually want to drink.
It is indeed interesting, and I bet you are the type of traveler (as opposed to 'tourist' - I'd rather be a traveler than a tourist) like me and my husband: a visit to the grocery store in a new place (foreign or domestic) is always high on the TO DO list?!
Uniquely Tea is a collection of tea related bits and bobs from here, there and everywhere, with the occasional 'one-for-the-pot' off-topic post thrown in for good measure.

Have you ever been here to the UK, Alex?
I would like a teatime aisle in my market.
Now why don't all grocery stores do this! *sigh*
