Tea Shortage in the North of England

ha ha Wasn't that cute?

Knowsley is near Liverpool (and near Prescot which is where Tall & Handsome's great-grandfather was from). This summer the local council (think "county government") is hosting "Good Neighbour events" across the borough to bring together people from all walks of life, regardless of their age, background, or gender.

The events give people opportunities to catch up with their neighbours and some of the people who live in their community that they may not have seen for a while. The above YouTube video was a part of their campaign, and I say, "Well done, Knowsley Council!"

What is being a Good Neighbour all about? According to their website, being a good neighbour is a full time role. Here are some of their suggestions for the things that good neighbours in Knowsley like to do.

Good neighbours:
Like to talk to each other
Like having a cuppa together
Welcome their neighbours with a brew
Make their neighbours feel welcome
Enjoy listening to each other
Take the opportunity to make a cuppa for guests
Should be there for one another

Knowsley sounds like a great place to live!
