Continuing on our iced tea theme this week as we celebrate National Iced Tea Month, I was wondering if you have ever had Thai Iced Tea? I have not, but after viewing this video of an iced tea vendor on the streets of Bangkok, I'm ready to give it a Thai try!

Thai Iced Tea
There are - as is always the case with recipes - loads of variations, but basically, Thai Iced Tea is nothing more than hot tea (black tea), ice, and sweetened condensed milk. According to my research, Thai Iced Tea in places like Bangkok is consumed "on the go" in little plastic bags as you will see in this video.

Oh, man, I like Thai iced tea!Asian stores sell a Thai tea leaf blend that is inexpensive and fabulously potent.
That sounds delightful! I bet it would be a great dessert on a warm summer night.
Having tried Thai tea only once at a local Thai restaurant, I must admit I am not a fan - the color was simply too orange, the flavor too sweet. However, I loved watching the video, and would like to sample the tea-in-a-bag-to-go being quite willing to give true Thai tea, made from a street vender, a second chance.
