Tea Book of the Week: "SpecialTeas"

(Available for purchase here)

SpecialTeas by M. Dalton King may be over fifteen years old, but it is a classic. Containing over a dozen themed tea party suggestions, this book emphasizes the food, and recipes are included.

The Thanksgiving Tea contains recipes with ingredients from the main holiday meal. What better way to use leftovers than for a tea party?

Here's one of the recipes. (Are you adventurous enough to serve Turkey and Stuffing Sandwiches at tea?) I think it sounds

Makes 24 pieces

12 thin slices wheat bread
Unsalted butter
6 thin slices turkey breast
6 tablespoons stuffing
6 teaspoons cranberry sauce

Spread each slice of bread with a thin coating of butter.

Lay a slice of turkey on 6 slices of bread. Spread a tablespoon of stuffing on each slice of turkey, then spoon a teaspoon of cranberry sauce over the stuffing. Top the sandwiches with the remaining bread.

Trim the crusts. Cut each sandwich into 4 pieces.
