My [step]son Jason married his long-time love Carla on August 2 at a ceremony outside London along the River Thames.
Our Jason is handsome as ever and Carla ~ already a beautiful person inside and out ~ made a stunning bride. (Can you spot the horseshoe? Old English wedding tradition calls for the bride to carry a horseshoe for good luck.)

In England, wedding cake is traditionally fruitcake, and the top layer is called the "christening cake" which the couple saves for the baptism of their first child.
