Northwest Tea Festival 2008

The first annual Northwest Tea Festival will be held in Seattle October 4-5, 2008. The Northwest Tea Festival will provide a "fun and educational event about the multifaceted world of tea", bringing together authors, industry experts, buyers, retailers, artists, and educators. It is sponsored by the Puget Sound Tea Education Association (PSTEA).

Preliminary events include an exclusive "tea dinner" with Norwood Pratt where every dish will be prepared with a different tea; classes and presentations such as Putting On An Afternoon Tea (Julee Rosanoff of the Perennial Tea Room), The History of the World According to Tea (Michael J. Coffey of Tea Geek), Gong Fu Cha, the Chinese Tea Ceremony (Shiuwen Tai of Floating Leaves Tea); tea films, and more.

Nice to see Tea taking on the coffee capital of the U.S.!!!
